It has been wonderful to be a part of the STEAM Week experience over the last few days. Our boys and girls have been completely engaged in a range of stimulating hands-on activities based on the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and
Mathematics. It is so exciting to see students learning so much yet having an absolute blast at the same time. Seeing children carrying all sorts of creations to their cars yesterday afternoon reminded me of the days when my children returned from Kindy each afternoon with a new creation. We had a room dedicated to their masterpieces at home!

Such experiences are not possible without the hard work and dedication of the staff. Our children have regularly expressed their gratitude towards our staff this week which makes it all worth it. It is great to see that our boys and girls do not take the efforts of our staff for granted.

We look forward to tomorrow’s Science Fair which will be held in the Parish Hall. I am sure we have lots of students who are determined to be crowned the St James Scientist of the Year. We will have three special guests join us tomorrow. Mrs Jodi-Anne Gully, a Science Education Officer with Brisbane Catholic Education will be a guest judge at our Science Fair in the morning. Ms Terri Butler - Federal M.P and Mr Michael Kelleher - Senior Leader, B.C.E will present certificates and trophies during tomorrow afternoon’s
Science Fair Assembly.

Once again, thanks to everyone’s contribution to this year’s STEAM Week.
