Our 2018 STEAM Week will run from Monday, 15th October to Friday 19th October (Week 2, Term 4). This year we will once again hold a variety of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths activities from 2 – 3pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. If you are able to assist with the running of these activities, please contact me on email below with your availability. We would greatly appreciate any help that you are able to give!
On Tuesday (16th October) all students will then participate in the World of Maths incursion in the Hall. Details will be provided in a letter to be sent home early next week. We will conclude our STEAM Week with the annual St James Science Fair. Early next week the students will also receive further information about the Science Fair. I have heard that many students are already beginning work on their presentations. Lastly, if you have a special ‘STEAM skill or talent’ that you might like to share with our students of perhaps a small group of children, please contact me on the email address below. In previous years we have been lucky enough to have had several guest speakers. These have included Mr Bennett who assembled and activated a giant catapult, Mr Dell who taught our students about data collection and measuring as well as a computer expert who was able to show us the amazing world inside a computer.
