Service and Social Justice

St James Primary School is a small school with a big heart.  Service and social justice is an integral part of school life.

Each term the student leaders choose a charity to support, initiating and implementing their own fundraising ideas to raise both awareness and much needed funds. As well as the term charities the children support Project Compassion at Easter, sponsor a child, collect food for the St Vincent de Paul Christmas food drive and raise money to support the Sisters of the Good Samaritan's charity in the Philippines.

The Yr 5/6 class, as part of their service programme put on a morning tea for the parishioners after the term's Anointing Mass, a highlight of each term.
